Till now there are no medication can cure heart valvular disease, but the medical treatment with lifestyle modification can improve symptoms and delay the need for surgical correction.

Eventually you may need surgical valvular repair or replacement, another option to dilate the stenotic valve by balloon like mitral and pulmonary stenosis which is called mitral valvotomy or pulmonary valvotomy, or replace the aortic valve in elderly via catherization TAVI (transcutaneous Aortic Valve Implantation).

Can I have an idea about TAVI?

Under local or general anesthesia:

1. A catheter with balloon on the tip inserted via femoral artery,
2. The catheter pushed to aortic valve,
3. Inflate the balloon to make a room for the new tissue valve,
4. Inflate the tissue valve by balloon in its place it is ready now.

 at the end deflate the balloon and withdraw it with the catheter
